InPost raised its forecasts for the entire year after its results from Q1

InPost raised its forecasts for the entire year, after the results of Q1 – plans to increase the network of Parcel Lockers to 18,250 – 19,000 (against the previously expected 16.5-18.5 thousand and 13,553 units at the end of March this year). In Poland, the number of parcel lockers is to amount to 15.5-16 thousand. (compared to 11,743 at the end of March). Capex is to amount to PLN 865-920 million this year, compared to the previously planned PLN 700-745 million.

“InPost can boast a great start to 2021. The parcel volume almost doubled in the first quarter and we achieved excellent financial results. That is why we are increasing our forecasts for the whole year” – said CEO Rafał Brzoska.

Revenues are forecasted this year in the range of PLN 3.7-3.85 billion (increase by 46-52% y / y), while pro-forma revenues are in the range of PLN 5.9-6.15 billion (increase by 31 -37% y / y). The earlier forecasts are respectively: PLN 3.46-3.61 billion and PLN 5.665-5.91 billion.

The company’s pro-forma ratios take into account the expected impact for the full year 2021 from the acquisition of Mondial Relay. The company’s expectations regarding the proceeds for the entire year 2021 from the planned acquisition of Mondial Relay to the pro-forma forecast remain unchanged (as compared to the information presented in March this year).

According to the new forecast, the adjusted EBITDA margin is 41-43% against the “low 40%” previously.

The volume of parcels (in total) is currently forecast at 455-485 million against 445-465 million previously.

In the case of Poland, the number of parcel lockers is to increase to 15.5-16 thousand. (against the previously expected 14.5-15.5 thousand), while the increase in the number of parcel machine parcels is now expected at 50-57% (compared to 45-50% earlier).

Capex in Poland is to reach this year. PLN 740-780 million (compared to the previously planned PLN 600-625 million), while the adjusted EBITDA margin is to reach 45-47% (compared to 43-45% earlier).

In foreign markets, the number of parcel lockers is to increase to 2.75-3 thousand. (against the previously expected 2-3 thousand and against 1,810 at the end of March this year). Revenues are to amount to PLN 70-90 million (compared to the previous PLN 60-80 million), and the capex – PLN 125-140 million (compared to the previous PLN 100-120 million).

InPost is a delivery platform for e-commerce. Founded in 1999 by Rafał Brzoska in Poland, InPost has a network of parcel lockers in Poland, Great Britain and Italy, and also provides courier and fullfilment services for e-commerce sellers in Poland. In 2020, InPost handled 249 million parcels via Paczkomaty, cooperating with over 26,000 e-sellers. The company’s mobile application – InPost Mobile has over 6 million active users. In January 2021, InPost made its debut on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange.
