Sarasota-based firm Insula Cos has purchased the Harbour Walk Apartments in Tampa for $29.5 million, its largest investment to date. Located across the street from the Tampa Community Hospital at 8302 Crystal Harbour Drive, the 400 unit property traded for $73,750 per apartment. Insula plans a $2.5 million makeover and rebranding of the property, which is the company’s ninth acquisition in 2015. Insula Cos. has sold four revitalized properties in the past year and has properties in Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville and Lakeland.
“Adding Harbour Walk Apartments to our family of properties represents a benchmark achievement for Insula Companies,” firm President Fred Cochran wrote in a statement.
