The Intercontinental Romania S.A. Hotel Company, which manages the hotel of the same name in Bucharest, announced that on December 31, 2021, the management contract with the Intercontinental Hotel Group will be concluded. As a result, the hotel built 40 years ago will have a different name, according to an announcement sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest will be named Grand Hotel Bucharest from January 1, 2022.
Also next year, the hotel will enter into a major renovation and modernization project, following investments of EUR 21 million. Modernization work is expected to be completed in 2024.
