Intrum Justitia acquires Hungarian secured debt portfolio

Intrum Justitia, Europe’s leading Credit Management Services (CMS) group, is planning to purchase a non-performing secured debt portfolio from Erste Bank Hungary. The cost of the deal is estimated at €62m. The portfolio comprises of a large number of non-performing consumer loans secured by real estate schemes. Intrum Justitia will finance the investment with its own available cash and credit facilities.
