A total of 1,985 beds in 25 new hotels were added to Montenegro’s hospitality market in 2018. Six of the new properties have five-star ratings, while nine have four stars, eight are three stars, and the remaining have two stars. The investments were driven by a number of factors, including a 30-percent decrease in real estate tax on four-star properties, while many five-star hotels will enjoy a 70-percent decrease in their annual tax obligation.
