Italian Ferretto Group is investing €25.5m in the Bosnian town of Usori into the production of storage racks, with the first phase of work expected to cost around €8m. Ferretto’s director Dzemal Klepic said work should be completed by the end of 2017, allowing production to get underway in the 16,000 sqm facility. Another 4,000 sqm production hall will be constructed in the second phase of the investment along with 2,800 sqm for the company’s headquarters. A third, 20,000 sqm production unit is also envisioned, giving the company a total of 40,000 sqm of production space within 7 years.
Ferretto Group has been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the past five years through Metal Construction & Engineering. It employs 50 people and will add another 120 to its ranks after the first new facility is completed.
