Hungarian-owned ITK Holding is planning to start serial production of Mercedes Benz Reform 500 LE buses at its plant in Debrecen at the end of March. The facility could turn out between 250 and 300 buses a year and employ a staff of 300. ITK is planning to build another plant in Debrecen next year. The new facility will cover 10,000 sqm and produce between 700 and 800 buses annually over a period of about five years, raising ITKʼs total output to between 1,000 and 1,200 buses per year.
