AmRest, the company that owns the Starbucks franchise in Romania, has appointed Jacek Trybuchowski to run the local business. Trybuchowski started his career at AmRest in 1993, holding numerous positions within the company, including new markets director, mergers and acquisition director and Russia division president. He is currently COO and a member of the AmRest board. He is also a member of the board of Blue Horizon Group (AmRest China).
AmRest, which owns more than 800 restaurants on 12 European markets, acquired the Starbucks cafe franchise in Romania and Bulgaria from Marinopoulos Coffee SEE in a deal estimated at €16m.
