Jacksonville has been selected as the new port of entry for Porsche Cars North America Inc. Porsche had been importing into Brunswick, Georgia but with its vehicles moving on the same vessels as Audi, Bentley and Volkswagen they decided to follow suit and move to Jacksonville. Starting in October the vehicles will be handled by Amports.
“Porsche conducted an extensive bid process and found Jaxport and the selected processing company, AMPORTS, offered the optimum combination of efficiency, quality, and service,” said Howard Change, PCNA vehicle logistics manager. “We thank the processor, the port, and the Florida Department of Transportation for their responsiveness to our needs.”
