Jaguar Land Rover said the UK’s referendum on whether or not to leave the EU would not impact its plans to build a car plant at Nitra, Slovakia. The daily SME quotes Viktor Stromček, the governmental commissioner for strategic parks, discrediting news published by Reuters about the car manufacturer potential withdrawing from Slovakia. Jaguar said it is still planning to invest €1.4bn into its first continental plant in Nitra. Construction is to start this summer. Lisa Palmer, spokeswoman of JLR, said that preparation works on the new facility are moving at a good pace. The first cars are expected to leave the facility in January 2018.
