Jaguar Land Rover’s new Slovak factory is gearing up to begin production, according to a fresh announcement from the company. Work on new cars is expected to begin Sept 3 at the €1.4bn facility in Nitra which is expected to have a capacity of 150,000 cars annually and employ 2,800 people. Already, it’s thought that the company has 1,300 employees on its books. The investment has sparked a new round of industrial land development around the country and the region as new suppliers need to be located close to the plant in order to win its business.
