Effective as of the end of March, Dominik Tenhumberg resigned his role as Managing Director of Becken Development GmbH and left the Becken Group by mutual consent with Dieter Becken, Managing Partner of Becken Holding GmbH, in order to take on new challenges. Having joined the company in 2013, he assumed his senior management role at Becken Development GmbH in 2016. As of April 1, he was succeeded by Jens Hogekamp, who has headed the Asset Management division of the Becken Group since 2017. As he joins incumbent Managing Director, Joachim Schmidt-Mertens, Becken Development GmbH will thus continue to be managed by a dual leadership.
Dieter Becken said: “Dominik Tenhumberg contributed definitively to the growth of the Becken Group as it evolved from a local player in Hamburg into a real estate and investment company active nationwide over the past ten years. For this, I am personally grateful to him. I wish him every success both for his personal and professional future.”
Jörn Stobbe, management spokesman for Becken Holding GmbH, said: “I too would like to express my personal gratitude to Dominik Tenhumberg for the excellent and highly professional collaboration. At the same time, we are pleased to say that the vacancy was immediately filled by appointing Jens Hogekamp to the position. For the Development division, his appointment implies, in addition to his property development expertise, the integration of important know-how in the sustainable refurbishment of standing buildings. These synergies will provide an extra boost to the Becken Group.”
Jens Hogekamp added: “I would like to thank the senior management for the faith put in me, and for my appointment to the new position as managing director. I look forward to my new tasks and, working in a team with Joachim Schmidt-Mertens, to the chance to contribute my share to the company’s sustainable property developments and to the transformation of standing properties.”
