Greek toy and decoration retailer Jumbo has begun construction of its first warehouse in Romania, plus office space, following an investment of about EUR 35 million. The project is being carried out on a 17.8 hectare plot of land purchased from Alpha Bank, in Popești-Leordeni, in a transaction valued at over EUR 2.8 million.
On the purchased land, Jumbo launched the construction of a storage unit and two office buildings, with one floor each. The warehouse has a total built area of over 75,000 sqm, offices have almost 500 sqm and there are reserved over 8 hectares for green spaces. The deadline is the first half of next year.
