With a construction permit now in hand, the developers Karlin Group and Horizon Holding are about to start construction on 240 flats along the Vltava river in Prague’s Modřany district. This first phase of an 800 flat project is to be built next to the Hodkovičky golf course. “At the moment, we’re finishing a tender for the general contractor,” Karlin Group’s director Jan Ludvík told Hospodářské noviny. “Construction will begin on the first two buildings immediately thereafter.” He says the CZK 700m project will be ready for customers to move into within two years and that the average price per square meter is CZK 70,000. Karlin Group has been working on the project for some time, but invited Horizon Holding to join it last year. After they complete the first two buildings, Horizon is expected to take over the the scheme and complete the remaining five buildings on its own.
