Karlin, Prague 8, has attracted the majority of relocations and new leases in the Prague office market over the last two years. In all, companies leased almost 48,000 sqm of modern office space there, which was 14 percent of all new leases. PankrĂĄc, Prague 4 follow with 40,000 sqm, according to Cushman & Wakefield. âKarlĂn is a tough competitor to the city center where there is a shortage of parking space and a lack of buildings that can offer more than 1,000 sqm on a single floor. KarlĂn can offer all of that, and at a lower rent to boot,â says Radka Novak, Head of Cushman & Wakefieldâs Office Agency Team. KPMG is one of the companies that recently prolonged lease in Karlin, taking 11,000 sqm in Florence Office Center. Expedia and Monster were among the newcomers, having taken 1,800 sqm in Amazon Court and 5,000 in Rivergardens respectively by the end of last year. A total of 620,000 sqm of offices was leased in Prague over the last two years, with new leases accounting for 356,000 sqm.
