The Croatian unit of German retailer Kaufland has opened a new store in Varazdin, this unit being its 48th in the country and its second one in the northern city.
The new store has created 43 jobs. It has a shopping space of 2,227 sqm and a parking lot for 200 cars. The value of the investment is almost EUR 13 million according to the company. The retailer also hosted a big concert before the opening of the new store.
Kaufland is a German hypermarket chain which owns and operates around 1,400 stores all over Europe. The chain is owned by the Schwarz Gruppe which also owns Lidl.
