Prague’s Congress Center is set to undergo a CZK 800m facelift. Its owner, a company called KCP, also plans to add a 6,000 sqm multifunctional hall in the southern part of the complex at the Vyšehrad metro station in Prague 4. An international architectural competition will be held this fall for the new hall. The organizer of the competition, the Moba architectural studio, anticipates the winner will be announced in mid-2017. The Prague Congress Center, completed in 1981, is owned by the Czech state (55 percent) and the City of Prague (45 percent). The complex was modernization in 2000 ahead of the IMF and World Bank meetings.
