Kellner sells land in Hostivice

21 March 2014

The Czech billionaire Petr Kellner has offloaded a massive plot in Hostivice where he planned to build apartments, shops, sports facilities and a kindergarten. He was planning to invest millions of crowns into the city’s worn-down Břve neighborhood, but the local assembly refused to change the master plan, which would have allowed construction to start. Deputies were fearful the project would increase the traffic in the area. The Czech property magnate Jaroslav Čadek bought the land from Kellner but has not yet revealed his plans for the site. The price of the deal was not disclosed.
