KGAL has further expanded its portfolio in wind parks in the past three months. Six parks were purchased in Germany and two parks in France with a total of 38 wind turbines and an overall output of 85.2 MW. The underlying investment volume was about €166m. As a result, the wind portfolio of KGAL is now 33 wind parks with 188 wind turbines, a total output of about 367 MW and an investment volume of about €600m.
The greater part of the newly acquired parks supplements the portfolio of the European Sustainable Power Fund 2 (ESPF 2). This is a fund for institutional investors that engages in multi-national investments of up to one billion euros in European on-shore wind power plants and photovoltaic plants. The capital-outlay ratio is currently about 85%. Two German wind parks were acquired for an individual renewable energy portfolio on behalf of an institutional investor.
KGAL is an investment company owned by Commerzbank, BayernLB, HASPA Finanzholding and Sal. Oppenheim. The KGAL Group has 368 employees.
