Kia Motors Slovakia had a record 2015. The car manufacturer produced 338,000 cars, a 4-percent increase y-o-y. Production jumped 18 percent to 582,000 compared to 2014. Kia Motors invested €110m in its Slovak operations, mainly focusing on the production of new car models. Kia Sportage made up 58 percent of production at the Žilina plant in 2015. Production at this plant accounts for 56 percent of Kia’s total sales in Europe.
