KKCG acquires Bořislavka center

3 September 2012

KKCG Group, owned by the Czech businessman Karel Komárek, has entered the property investment market by acquiring the Bořislavka office and shopping center on Evropská street in Prague 6, a project most investors had given up on. The new owner has assigned former Metrostav Development employees to bring the project to completion.
KKCG acquired Bořislavka from the Swedish developer Ikano, which had hoped to begin construction on it in 2008. The project has been on hold ever since, but the construction of a new metro A station currently underway next door appears to have given it a new impetus. If completed according to the original project, it would offer 24,000 sqm of office and 17,000 of retail, along with a residential component on the busy Evropská transport artery connecting the center of Prague with the international airport in Ruzyně.
