Klaus to go from Prague Castle to Baroque mansion

21 June 2012

At the end of his presidency, Czech president Václav Klaus will move from the Prague Castle directly to a mansion rented by the Czech financier Petr Kellner in Hanspaulka, Prague 6. That will be the headquarters of the newly established Václav Klaus Educational Institute once Klaus steps down in March 2013. The daily Lidové noviny writes that the Czech first lady Livia Klaus has insisted that reconstruction work on the mansion be finished on time allowing Klaus to go to work immediately, the day after he relinquishes his perch atop the Czech political scene.
