Kolter Group has submitted an application to the city of Fort Lauderdale to build the tallest tower in the city. The plans call for a 46-story, 465-foot-tall tower named after its location 100 Las Olas. The mixed use project will feature a 735,029 square-foot building, 228 hotel rooms, 120 condos, a pool and retail and restaurant space on the ground floor, along with 507 parking spaces. Kolter bought the 38,325-square-foot site in August for $17.25 million.
With the current residential construction boom underway in Fort Lauderdale, this project would be the first major new condo downtown of this development cycle. Most of the condo activities in the greater Fort Lauderdale area have been positioned on the beach or Intracoastal Waterway. Attorney Courtney Crush will represent the Kolter Group in the application before the city’s Development Review Committee on Oct. 13.
