Komerční banka sold its headquarters at Na Příkopě 33 in Prague 1 to Commerz Real. The bank reportedly got CZK 1.5bn for the protected historic building on Prague’s main shopping high street, writes Hospodářské noviny. The new owner, German investment company and asset manager Commerz Real, will add the building to its open-ended property fund hausInvest. S+B Gruppe, an Austrian developer active in Prague, will reconstruct the building for the new owner. Komerční banka staff will vacate the premises before the end of 2018, but the bank will keep its branch in the building. Commerz Real has not yet announced its future plans for the rest of the space in the building. Consultants say it can be refurbished into a hotel or shops or may be used as offices.
