The Finnish company, Konecranes is building a factory in Miskolc in what amounts to a HUF 2bn investment. The crane manufacturer will produce components as well as entire machines in the new plant, which should be ready for production by 2014. Roughly HUF 1bn of the investment is coming from European Union funds. Konecranes Supply Hungary, a subsidiary of the Finnish mother company, is building the factory in the Miskolc Mechatronics Industrial Park. The factory is planned to create 180 workplaces.
