The Korean Cultural Centre has decided to remain in Globalworth’s Nordic Park office building. The institution occupies over 1,100 sqm of space in the building, which will undergo a full refurbishment in the coming months. JLL Polska represented the tenant in the transaction.

The institution was previously located in Nordic Park, occupying 1,128 sqm in the office building in Warsaw’s Powiśle district. The centre decided to remain in the building, extending its lease, but its space will undergo renovation, carried out by Reesco. The end of work on the thorough modernisation of the space is planned for the end of August. In its new guise, the Centre will have a fresh new image, which will emphasise the character of this remarkable cultural institution.

“The decision that the Korean Cultural Centre is staying at Nordic Park for a longer period of time and is planning a metamorphosis of the office is great news and a confirmation of trust towards us as the building’s owner and manager. The tenant joins the ranks of those who extend their leases wanting to further develop the Globalworth community. The intimacy of the building and the friendly location is one of the reasons why companies that have been based here for many years extend their cooperation with us and invest in their offices. The friendly surroundings and proximity to, among others, cultural points create great conditions for working and developing the Centre’s activities,” says Anna Korwin-Kulesza, Asset Management & Leasing Director – Central & Northern Poland.

“Remaining in its current location, the Korean Cultural Centre will be able to continue to enjoy all the advantages of Nordic Park – the perfect location of the office building, surrounded by greenery, but still close to all the capital’s attractions. The building itself provides many amenities that the tenant is extremely happy with. The modernisation of the Centre will not be easy, as it is not a traditional office space, but we believe that the result of the renovation will be an interesting, modern space ideally suited to the needs of this institution,” says Michał Lis, Senior Director, Office Agency, JLL.

The Korean Culture Centre in Warsaw is an institution promoting Korean culture in Poland, formally it is a part of the Cultural Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Warsaw. The Centre was established in 2010 and its activities are aimed at spreading knowledge of the Republic of Korea, bringing the language closer and facilitating cultural exchange between Poland and the Republic of Korea. As part of its activities, the Centre organises various events such as courses, art exhibitions, workshops, performances or cultural meetings.
Nordic Park is an 8-storey building located in Warsaw’s Powiśle district, offering approximately 8,000 sqm of modern office space for lease. Its location makes it possible to take full advantage of all the attractions and amenities of the capital, as well as a wide range of retail, service, catering, cultural and hotel facilities. The building’s location with close access to the city’s greenery and parks is an additional advantage.

The building provides 216 underground parking spaces for its tenants. Nordic Park is distinguished by its brown elevation and varied massing. Several years ago, the building underwent renovation of the common areas. Its distinctive architecture, location by Jerozolimskie Avenue and the arcades of the Poniatowski Bridge overpass make the building recognisable and highly visible. It offers attractive office space of a high standard, which offers the possibility of flexible space arrangement, perfectly tailored to the individual needs of each tenant. The interior finish and partially glazed façade allowing a constant flow of daylight into the building create a safe, friendly and comfortable working environment. The office building is equipped with all amenities envisaged for buildings of this class.
