Adriana Krnáčová, the candidate of the ANO party, is to become Prague’s new mayor under the terms of a coalition of parties. ANO won the municipal elections in Prague but in order to put its candidate in the mayor’s role, it had to work with the Social Democrats, the Green Party, and the Christian Democrats and Mayors and Independents. ANO will control the city’s finance, security, health and housing policy, while the Social Democrats should take care of transport, social policy and EU funds issues.
