The Austrian manufacturer Kronospan secured a building permit for a particleboard plant in Veliko Tarnovo. The €110m project will be financed by the company’s own equity and a bank loan. Seventy percent of the plant’s output will be exported.
Kronospan already operates three facilities in the country. The company also wants to build another plant in Burgas but has not yet secured the permits for that project yet.
