KSH: Retail sales up 6.4% in Hungary in April

Retail sales on the Hungarian market rose by 6.4 percent y-o-y in April 2016, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The sales volume increased by 3.9 percent in specialized and non-specialized food shops, by 10.3 percent in non-food retail shops and by 3.5 percent for automotive fuel. This is only the third month the retail market has reported a y-o-y increase since the start of the economic crisis. The last strong y-o-y retail performance was in January, according to KSH data.
