The largest solar park in Romania will start working next year in Mehedinti County, according to UTI Group, which oversaw the project’s construction and installation.
The €16.5m park, owned by the Portuguese company Eface, covers 36 ha in the the country’s Cujmir region. The park will consist of 52,000 photovoltaic panels and will produce enough energy to cover the annual energy consumption of an estimated 5,000 households.
Eface is active in more than 65 countries and has an annual turnover of approximately €1bn. Its portfolio of activities includes energy, engineering and services and transportation and logistics.
