Lego expands Kladno plant

Lego has expanded its completion plant in Kladno, just west of Prague. The company opened a third hall at its Kladno site, where it has been active for 15 years. The 50,000 sqm expansion brought the total area of usable space in the facility to 140,000 sqm and created 600 new jobs. Lego currently employs 2,000 in Kladno.
In addition to the Czech Republic, Lego has manufacturing facilities in Denmark, Hungary and Mexico. The company also has a regional distribution center in Jirny, outside Prague. Lego’s vice president, Bali Padda, told Hospodářské noviny, that the company plans to refurbish or expand all its existing plants and build a new one in Shanghai.
