The Czech government will give Lego CZK 46m in aid toward the Danish toy producer’s Kladno expansion. Lego will add 35,000 sqm of office, storage and manufacturing space to its production facility in the city’s Kladno–Jih industrial zone. The project is expected to cost CZK 1.73bn and will create 600 new jobs. Completion is set for 2017. Lego has been operating in Kladno since 2000 and is one of the city’s biggest employers with a staff of 1,500. The company also has a R&D center in Kladno.
