Chinese tech giant Lenovo will invest EUR 24.7m in a brand new assembly plant in Üllő, near Budapest. The minister for Trade and Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjartó has announced that the government will give a EUR 5.5m grant towards this investment. The plant will manufacture products for data centres and desktops. This investment will create 1000 new jobs. This will be Lenovo’s first major investment, previously employing only 80 people who were involved only on the sales side.
