From November 2022, the transmission system operator Amprion will lease around 1,900 sqm on two floors in Hamburg’s Ericus-Contor. The company takes over the premises of the Hapag Lloyd shipping company, which is moving to downtown Hamburg in October. The contract has a term of ten years. The Contor has been part of the portfolio of the open-ended real estate fund UniImmo: Deutschland since 2020.
āThis means that all of the space that the Hapag Lloyd shipping company has vacated has now been reallocated. At the beginning of this year, the personnel consultancy HAYS had already rented around 2,200 sqm from October. The current rental success shows that top properties in attractive locations remain in demand even in difficult times. With its distinctive peak and its double-glazed glass facade with floor-to-ceiling windows, the Ericus-Contor has a high landmark character,ā says Sven Lintl, Head of Asset Management Germany at Union Investment.
Built in 2012 and currently fully let, Contor at Ericusspitze 2-4 is centrally located on the Elbe, surrounded by water, and connects the eastern entrance to HafenCity with the city center and the historic warehouse district.
The property has excellent transport connections: the motorway can be reached in a few minutes via AmsinckstraĆe and Hamburg Central Station is only 900 meters away. In addition, there is a very high sustainability standard: The Ericus-Contor has a DGNB platinum certificate and thus the highest award for sustainability awarded in Germany.
The international real estate service provider BNP Paribas Real Estate acted as an intermediary.
