Lewiatan: 69% of companies complain about the deterioration of business conditions

According to 69% of companies, the business conditions have deteriorated in the last six months, 26% of companies do not see a significant change, and for 5% the conditions have improved, according to the “Business Index” study, which was commissioned by Konfederacji Lewiatan and conducted CBM Indicator.

Business conditions have deteriorated for 70% of small, 68% of medium and 64% of large companies. The smaller the company, the worse the assessment of business conditions, it was reported.

The mood of entrepreneurs regarding running a company in a business context is unfavorable. 55% of companies have a negative attitude to running a business in 2021. This is the opinion of 56% of large and small companies and 50% of medium-sized ones. Only 44% of respondents indicate a positive attitude. The medium ones are more optimistic. 47% of them have a positive attitude to doing business this year, while the percentage of large companies that think similarly is 44%, according to the report.

Entrepreneurs were also asked what they think about running a company in 2021 in the context of changes in the law and administrative activities. 63% of enterprises are afraid of such changes, including 66% large, 64% small and 57% medium. 36% of companies have a positive attitude (41% medium, 35% small and 34% large), it was also indicated.

The cyclical survey of entrepreneurs’ sentiment was carried out in August this year by the “Business Index” on a representative sample of entrepreneurs by CBM Indicator at the request of the Lewiatan Confederation.
