Liebrecht & wooD has celebrated the ribbon cutting ceremony of a exit from the A2 highway located 15 km from the center of Bucharest. The solution – fully financed by the developer – provides the residents of Cernica, Fundeni and the whole Calarasi area with access to the highway. The developer’s interest in the exit is clear, as it will guarantee smooth access to Cernica Park – a retail scheme with a total investment value of approximately €110m.
Cernica Park is to be developed on a 34 ha plot combining an outlet center, a hypermarket, a traditional shopping gallery, and a wide mix of big box retail stores. The project will offer a total of 88,000 sqm of retail space expandable to 100,000 sqm with over 3,500 parking place. Construction is expected to start in 2016.
