The Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport has reopened for all commercial flights, both from the European Union and beyond. However, without a local airline, regular services are not expected before June as most airlines across Europe are grounded. The Ljubljana airport was closed for all commercial flights on March 17 in an effort to stop the corona virus pandemic.
Most carriers have canceled passenger flights through the end of May. However, in the past few days, airport staff have been preparing for the arrival of the first passengers and implementing the necessary security measures for the resumption of regular passenger traffic.
