Romania’s logistics and industrial supply reached 3.8 million sqm in 2018, according to CBRE. The vacancy rate fell to 3.7 percent thanks to high demand, lack of available supply and an increase in pre-leases for space currently under construction. Rental activity, excluding renewals and renegotiations, totaled 270,000 sqm in 2018, down 11 percent from the previous year. However, CBRE is forecasting an upward trend for 2019, with 607,000 sqm expected to be delivered to market.
