The Logport commercial and industrial parks, which are being prepared by the Czech company Logport Development in cooperation with the local municipalities, are expanding civic amenities in the given locality and developing key urban infrastructure. Logport areas are prepared in the highest environmental standard with an emphasis on the use of alternative energy sources. They will offer storage and light manufacturing facilities, administration, showrooms and sales areas. They will serve people from the surrounding area and the city, as well as companies that will find quality facilities for their business. Logport Development pays great attention to the modifications of the immediate surroundings of its projects, which are sensitively linked to the existing development, or revitalize brownfield areas. The developer is currently preparing two projects: Logport Prague West on the west and Logport Kladno Poldi on the northwestern edge of Prague.
“We are focusing on building key urban infrastructure. In our commercial-industrial parks, we create top facilities for last mile logistics, e-shops and their dispensing points, strategic warehouses and production facilities, showrooms, warehouses and offices. Our premises will also include retail stores, a supermarket and restaurants, which will be used by people working on our premises as well as living in their immediate vicinity,” said David Vais, CEO of Logport Development.
Logport offers two types of space. LogSpace is suitable for urban logistics, distribution and light manufacturing. LogBox is a background for showrooms, smaller warehouses and manufacturing companies, stores
and offices. The mix of individual spaces is different in each project and is based on the possibilities given by a specific location and demand. The multifunctional Logport concept creates synergy effects between tenants and thus improves their business environment.
“Our Logport zones are designed to complement the surrounding urban development. We are expanding the civic and commercial amenities of the area, thanks to which local people will no longer have to commute so often for shopping, services and work. Our parks will create new jobs and contribute to the development of transport infrastructure. We strive to improve the quality of life in the vicinity of our parks and in this regard we cooperate with the management of the municipality and consult the project directly with its inhabitants. We are pleased with the positive attitude towards our two current projects,” adds Vais.
The Logport Ecosystem will be used in individual parks. It is a unique technical standard of buildings that meets the strictest criteria of long-term sustainability and environmental impact. The basic pillar of the Logport Ecosystem is the use of alternative energy sources. Solar panels on the roofs completely cover the electricity consumption required for the operation of individual properties. Rainwater retention tanks will reduce drinking water consumption by 33%. Rainwater will be used to flush toilets, water greenery and possibly as technical water for tenants. Partially green facades will reduce the overall energy intensity of buildings. The logport supports alternative modes of transport, which is why each zone is connected to public transport and a network of cycle paths. There will be bike racks and charging stations for e-bikes in the parks. 30% of parking spaces will be equipped with charging stands for electric cars. All Logport zones will be built in the internationally recognized BREEAM green building standard at the Excellent level.
Logport is part of the EBM Group, which also implements residential development projects and has its own design and architectural studio and construction company. All projects in the group are created under one roof.
Logport Prague West
It is located on the western outskirts of Prague near the village Jinočany. A sustainable commercial and industrial park is being prepared on a 150,000 sqm plot, which will offer warehouses, retail space, offices, a supermarket, a fast food outlet and a petrol station. Logport Prague West will create 400 new jobs.
Logport Kladno Poldi
In the area of the former Poldi Kladno factory, Logport owns a plot of land with an area of 15,000 m2, on which a new Logport commercial and industrial complex will be built after a complete renovation. It will create 50 jobs.
Their construction is expected to start in the autumn of 2022.
