About YIT and YIT Stavo:
YIT entered the Czech market in 2008 when it acquired the Czech company Euro STAVOKONSULT. Both companies have been active in the construction industry for many years – the original Euro STAVOKONSULT has been on the Czech market for almost 20 years, while the Finnish YIT traces its roots back to 1912 and this year celebrates 110 years of operation. The main activities of YIT Stavo include the preparation and implementation of development projects. It brings Finnish-style housing to the Czech market. YIT Stavo has completed 23 projects in the Czech Republic (including individual phases of larger units, which themselves are de facto medium-sized housing projects). Six projects are currently under construction: the Koti Libeň, Vesi Hostivař, Happi Milánská, Rivi Bachova, the groundbreaking Suomi Hloubětín project with 11 phases of apartment buildings and the neighbouring Lappi Hloubětín mixed-use project with almost 290 apartments and commercial space. On the area of the original brownfield site of more than 10 hectares in Hloubětín, a new district with housing, commercial premises and a kindergarten is being created, where approximately 3,500 residents will find a home. The developer has other projects in the pipeline.
YIT has already succeeded in fulfilling its ambitious plan and has become one of the five strongest residential developers in Prague. In the area of CSR, YIT has long been supporting the Motol Children’s Surgery Clinic and the associated foundation Konto “Dětská chirurgie Motol”, which is sponsored by actress Tereza Brodská.
The YIT Group is the largest construction and development company in Finland and ranks among the leading companies in Northern Europe. It is committed to sustainability and respect for the environment in all its construction projects. It develops both residential and commercial properties and focuses mainly on large urban development projects. Its turnover in 2021 reached almost EUR 2.7 billion. The Group currently operates in 9 countries: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. It employs over 5,500 people. YIT shares are listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
