Lufthansa to launch flights from Brno?

23 June 2014

With passenger numbers on the rise, Lufthansa plans to start offering flights out of Brno airport, the German carrier’s CE director, Ofer Kisch, told the server ihned.cz. The company transported 1.2 million passengers between Prague and Frankfurt and Munich last year. Kisch says that many new businesses have recently opened in Brno, and Lufthansa thinks a Brno-Frankfurt or Brno-Munich route would generate a lot of traffic. Prague is currently the carrier’s third busiest hub in Central Europe. Poland comes in first followed by Romania, according to Kisch.
