A new air connection between Munich and Katowice has been launched by Lufthansa in a move that demonstrates the growing power of Poland’s regional cities. The news is good for anyone who prefers boarding a Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft to a multi-hour car or train trip. Radio Poland reports that the Upper Silesian Aviation Group has been trying for years to establish a connection to Munich, which acts as a major hub to destinations around the world. Until now, Munich airport has offered connections to just six Polish cities.
