Lerner Enterprises is set to kick off construction of a 13-story, 300,000 square foot luxury residential apartment building in Washington D.C. The project, Lerner 1000 South Capitol, will feature 250 units located near the Navy Yard | Ballpark Metro Station and Nationals Park. Originally envisioned as a 320,000 square foot office building, the site is currently being used as parking lot K for Nationals Park. The building is being designed by architectural firm Shalom Baranes Associates and will be built to LEED Silver Certification standards. Common amenities will include a state-of-the-art fitness center featuring Peloton equipment, private dining room equipped with demonstration kitchen for residents and street level retail.
