Macedonian GDP grows 2.2% in Q2

Macedonia’s GDP increased by 2.2 percent in the second quarter, according to estimates published by the State Statistical Office. Construction output jumped 31 percent in Q2, while professional, scientific and technical services, as well as administrative and support services, grew 11.5 percent. Financial and insurance services also increased by 4.9 percent.

Household consumption, including non-profit institutions serving households, increased by 1.3 percent. Exports increased by 4.2 percent, while imports increased by 6.6 percent for the quarter.
