The number of tourists that traveled in Macedonia in October 2016 reached 69,412, with the number of nights spent in the country reaching 155,719, according to the data of the State Statistical Office. The figure showed a rise of 12.6 percent compared to October 2015, while the number of nights spent by visitor rose by 9.3 percent.
For the period between January and October 2016, the number of tourists increased 5.0 percent compared with the same months in 2015. Of note is also the fact that the number of domestic tourists rose by 5.3 percent, while that of foreign tourists increased by 4.8 percent.
