Maciej Stańczuk to lead Polimex-Mostostal

12 May 2014

Maciej Stańczuk was named CEO of Poland’s troubled builder Polimex-Mostostal. He replaces Gregor Sobisch, who resigned from the position. In his new role, Stańczuk will oversee the company’s ongoing restructuring process, including inking a final settlement with creditors. Stańczuk joined Polimex-Mostostal in February as deputy CEO. Before joining Polimex, Stańczuk worked for Polski Banku Rozwoju (Poland’s Bank of Development) and WestLB Bank, where he spent 20 years.

“We hope to see the key aspects of the debt agreement resolved in the coming months,” said Stańczuk. “We need to make the company’s operation far more transparent for the market to make it possible to start bidding for new contracts by regaining access to bank guarantees,” he added. Bogusław Piekarski was named new deputy CEO.
