The Magazia 1 building in the port area of Burgas is one of the oldest buildings in the city. With 2,795 sqm of space on a single floor, the building was used over the years as a warehouse for grain and fodder. Last July, reconstruction and modernization work on the building began in order to convert Magazia 1 into a maritime center offering exhibition and educational and entertainment facilities.
The designer of the project, UBB Controlling, preserved the building’s steel structure, with €2.1m having been allocated by the city to complete the work.
