Magnus Aircraft opened new 5,100 sqm production hall at its airport base near Pecs, southwestern Hungary. This was the second phase of the Hungarian light airplane manufacturer’s expansion project. The company has invested around HUF 6bn at its base over the last two years, with the Hungarian government supporting the effort with a HUF 2bn grant. Magnus is planning to reach full capacity next year, rolling out more than 200 planes. It also will manufacture composite material parts for other industries at the site. There are currently 70 people working at the base. By H2 2020, the staff should be up to 150.
