Magyar Suzuki launches R&D project in Hungary

Magyar Suzuki, the Japanese carmakerʼs Hungarian unit, has launched an R&D project to produce vehicle prototypes and more efficient production technologies. The cost of the project is HUF 5.3bn. The investment is being supported by HUF 2.6bn in European Union and state funding. The Suzuki plant in Esztergom will be transformed by 2020 into a smart factory as the carmaker is planning to roll out 20 new models worldwide bewteen 2015 and 2020.
