Winter Park-based Mahaffey Apartment Co. has closed on the purchase of 25.7 acres of land in the Jacksonville submarket of Bartram for $5.66 million. Located along Bartram Park Boulevard the site was purchased from Franklin Pointe Office Center, a Michigan company with a Boca Raton address. Since 1962 Mahaffey has has developed, managed and owned more than 16,000 rental apartments in 20 developments under the name Carlton Arms throughout the state of Florida.
